Our annual fundraising breakfast was a great success, bringing in $50,000 in donations and pledges towards the $75,000 required to support our ninth house. Thanks so much to everyone who is helping UPC to support affordable housing in Seattle. November 2010

Having successfully completed the funding of our eighth house, we are gearing up to kick off our fundraising cycle for our next (ninth!) house at our annual fundraising breakfast on January 28th.

April 2010

Because of the generous giving of our donors, we are ecstatic to announce that we have successfully raised the money for our eighth house. In addition, due to a matching fund from Habitat International, we were able to support the construction of a house in Haiti in response to the recent earthquake there. The need for affordable housing is ongoing, and any money collected during the remainder of this year will be applied to our next house in 2011 when the cost of supporting a house locally will go up to $75,000.

July 2009

In spite of the economic recession, we are very pleased to announce that thanks to your generosity, we have successfully raised the $70,000 we pledged to build our next Habitat house -- the seventh sponsored by UPC. Even more impressive, we met our goal in record time, several months before the year was up. Thanks very much to all of our donors for your generous contributions!

Since we're not out of the recession yet, our intention is to continue accepting donations up through our next kickoff breakfast in order to get a head start on house #8. To this end, if you made an ongoing pledge during the fundraising breakfast that you are able to honor, we would appreciate the additional security going into the new year.

March 2009

As of March 2009, we have $50,000 in pledges and donations toward the $70,000 that we need to raise to support our seventh Habitat for Humanity house. This is a great start to the year. If you are able, please consider donating now to help us reach our goal.

February 2009

At our annual fundraising breakfast this year, we brought in $42,000 in cash and pledges towards the $70,000 we've pledged to support the construction of our seventh sponsored Habitat for Humanity house. Thanks to all who attended the breakfast, who pledged, and who helped organize the event!

December 2008

As of December 2008, we have raised the complete $70,000 that we committed to providing in order to pay for our sixth house with Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County. Thanks to everyone who contributed to this effort to make house #6 a reality -- now we just have to finish building it!

July 2008

As of mid-July 2008, we have raised $59,112.16 towards the $70,000 that we need by the end of September in order to pay for our sixth house. This is tremendous progress and we want to thank the generosity of our donors. That said, we still require a little push in order to wrap this up on time and on budget. If you are able, please consider donating now.

March 2008

Our annual fundraising breakfast in January was a great success, generating $45,000 in donations and pledges towards our sixth house which should begin construction in late Spring. Combined with the ~$5,000 that was raised prior to the breakfast and since, this leaves us with approximately $20,000 to raise to complete the $70,000 required for this house. Thanks to all of you who attended the breakfast and have contributed!

November 2007

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, our fifth house is fully paid for! We have begun the fundraising cycle for our sixth house, which will require raising $70,000 for Habitat for Humanity of Seattle/South King County. July 2007

At the beginning of July, we find ourselves with a remaining balance of $8,500 towards our current home and just over 3 months to raise it.

May 2007

To date, we have raised $57,000 in gifts towards this year's goal of $75,000. That leaves us with $18,000 to raise over the next five months.
